Holy Shit! This is right up there with El Topo and The Holy Mountain. It's also produced and co-written by Claudio Argento (Dario's brother). Why Anchor Bay didn't release this with the Jodorowsky set that came out earlier this year is beyond me, especially since they've released a R2 copy of the film.
