Review of Santa Sangre (1989) by Damien K — 13 Jun 2009

This was my favorite movie before I saw "City of Lost Children", and it still comes close to a tie. I like Jodorowsky's other films, but for the most part, thought they were pretentious and trying too hard to be weird.

I was surprised and impressed that "Santa Sangre" was much more enjoyable, while retaining the elements of the surreal, the bizarre and the artistic beauty of his older films.
