Whoever said John Wayne couldn't act, has NOT seen this movie. They especially need to see the scene where the are in the bunker and his close friend is injured and calls to him "SARGE! SARGE!" But SGT.
Striker cannot answer unless he compromises his position. So he doesn't answer. It is pure HEROISM!!!!
