Review of Safety Not Guaranteed (2012) by Josh E — 22 Feb 2013
Loses track of itself near the end of the second act and the beginning of the third, but makes up for it with a truly engaging first act and an ending that is sure to be divisive. I greatly enjoyed this movie and thought the ending was perfect.
The lead protagonist could have easily strayed into hipster-esque territory, but is fortunately reigned in and never works very hard to be likeable. I question the importance of the secondary characters as, after the first act, they literally become dead weight to the plot.
