Review of Safety Not Guaranteed (2012) by Matt F — 27 Mar 2013
It's everything an indie should be: whimsical but with something important keeping the storyline from devolving into a scramble for the spoils. That something would be a level of affection that grows among the subjects and causes them to reconsider betraying each other.
They learn that all too often, self interest works against its intended beneficiary. And that when least expected, a colleague will save your bacon just because. Maybe there's hope for us hominids after all.
