Review of Safety Last! (1923) by Mike H — 19 Oct 2007
A strong contender in the era of silent comedies. Though utterly dwarfed by Chaplin's features, Harold Lloyd carries this 1.5-hour film with greater charisma than Buster Keaton could ever hope to carry to a feature.
Lloyd performs his own building-scaling stunts with a couple missing fingers and hangs from a clock in the most famous scene from this film - something that inspired a similar scene in Back to the Future.
