Review of Safety Last! (1923) by Daniel W — 28 Nov 2008
This is the first Harold Lloyd film I've seen and I'm pleased to say it's even better than I expected it to be. The scene where he hangs high in the air from the hands of a clock is obviously one of the most iconic images in film history, but I was surprised to find Lloyd's comedy just as entertaining as his "thrill sequences".
I've often heard him being compared to the likes of Chaplin and Keaton, and if he has a few more films as good as this then I'll start to believe that such praise is warranted.
