Review of Rush Hour (1941) by Amanda C — 06 Mar 2011
It's been done before, but Rush Hour at least does it fairly well. Jackie Chan is always fun and Chris Tucker is a pretty good counterpoint to him. The kid is great and over all the film has enough fun and feel good moment that along with a reasonable running time makes this an enjoyable film.
The biggest problem is in the fight sequences, where with all the edits, it diminishes the abilities of Chan that you can see in his Hong Kong films. Overall it's a nice little film to spend a mindless hour and a half with.
