Interesting premise that doesn't quite deliver. Not that funny and when it turns darker you've kind of lost interest. The lead could be one to watch, very similar in appearance to James Spader.
I will forgive it slightly as there is a Gertrude and a Lila in this film! In his pomp you could imagine Woody Allen transporting this from LA to Manhattan - i'm sure he would have done it better.
