Review of Ruby Sparks (2012) by James A — 23 Nov 2012
A wonderful film with a heart. Ruby Sparks is exactly what you bargain for. Despite how absolutely indie and artistic it tries to be, this film is enjoyable under any circumstance. It's a funny and charming comedy with an amazingly interesting premise.
This film falls under classic romantic comedies, such as 500 Days Of Summer and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It's a brilliant film with tons of heart, despite moments when one or two characters become cheesy or even unlikeable.
Every second of the movie keeps you invested and you hope that these characters can work through the conflict that rises in the story. Overall, I'd recommend this film to anyone who is up for a good romantic comedy.
