Review of Ruby Sparks (2012) by Roy S — 05 Jul 2013
What an emotional journey! Many times exhilarating, devastating, horrific and, ultimately charming. The beautiful and brilliant Zoe Kazan captivates both as screenwriter and as Ruby Sparks herself, addressing the triumphs and harsh truths one ca relate to both as a professional writer and as a man who has lived through the whims and vagaries of love.
Paul Dano proves he is one of the most promising young actors working today. If not one of the best films of 2012, then certainly, one of the best independent romances since "500 Days of Summer" and "Safety Not Guaranteed".
