Review of Rubber (2010) by Nabeeldo M — 27 Jul 2011
"You probably never gave it a thought, but all great films without exception contain an important element of no reason. do you know why? because life itself has no reason".
Not as rubber'ish or tire'ish (okay enough of that) as I thought a film about a killer tire would be. the director tries to put life into an inanimate object much like pixar or such studios do but without obvious expressions or cgi he certainly has managed to do such a thing. I personally think that this should of been a short film and not an 80 minute film, great it is not, but good it is with a tongue in cheek persona from start to finish, with some very nice cinematography the film let's us into a little joke and quite a silly but admirable one it is too.
