Have you ever lain awake at night thinking there's something missing in your life? You're right in doing so. There is something missing in your life, and that something is Rubber, the greatest, truest film ever made.
At once a twisted crime procedural and a critique of film making, film viewing, and viewer response...no, I can't explain this movie using tropes, coined terms, and genres. I should be sorry for trying.
This movie, as stated in the opening address to the audience, is a testament to 'no reason', and what a fabulous testament it is. So instead of spending one more night mourning your wretched existence, wondering just what, exactly, is waiting for you out there in that big wild world, find a copy of Rubber and watch the hell out of it.
Why? No reason. Either that or because it follows a killer tire with psychokinetic abilities. For no reason.
