Review of Rubber (1936) by Eric R — 04 Apr 2015
Rubber is a film so unique and entertaining that I can't really describe it. While the movie is basically 2 seemingly unrelated stories the one the movie is mostly about is "a film where a tire goes around blowing rabbits, birds, then PEOPLE's heads off with psychic powers" but the film is much more then that.
While very very strange the movie is both a master of B movie comedy and 4 wall breaking storyline. The movie isn't pretentious as it could have been, feeling like a labor of love. I have never been more confused watching a movie with a smile in my face.
Rubber is honestly going to be one of my favorite movies of all time, and if your a fan of horror, comedys, or just weird films this is without a doubt worth your time.
