Review of Rosemary's Baby (1968) by Jeff B — 06 Jun 2011
Great tone, but very predictable and not terribly frightening really. I think "Ghostbusters II" (and "Ghostbusters", really) kind of ruined this for me. Nobody's performance leapt out at me as interesting and the film is very drab.
I don't know why this is considered a classic, except for the fact that Polanski directed it. (It was nice to see Charles Grodin in a drama, but he had very little to do.).
