Review of Rosemary's Baby (1968) by Baurushan J — 09 Feb 2012
Rosemary's Baby is my favourite black and white horror film as my favourite horror film of anything is The Exorcist because I judge black and white horror movies, 70s 80s 90s horror movies and modern horror movies seperately.
The story is about a girl named Rosemary who gives birth to the devil. pretty simple right, but the way they drag this movie on is so frightening and creepy that you can swear you will get off the edge of your seat.
The best way I can describe this film is like Se7en. It's true because that's exactly how the movie was like because while I was watching the movie all the way through, it reminded me of Se7en.
You see in this film, the movie goes as a slow paced, dark-toned, mysterious drama and then in the end you get the most brutal shock of your life which is exactly what Se7en did no seriously. If you still don't believe me, just look at that cover, a picture of a pram on a hill with playfully looking writing set to a evil green and black colour tone.
If that doesn't freak the fuck out of you, I don't know what does. Rosemary's Baby gets a pure 10/10.
