Review of Rope (1948) by Rachael H — 19 Oct 2011
Impeccably written, wonderfully directed, and quite suspenseful, Rope is one of the best thrillers I have ever seen and a truly underrated Hitchcock film. This story of guilt, misunderstanding, and deception truly translates into a memorable cinematic experience that will captivate the minds of viewers for years to come.
It is also inventive in its use of real time, and the tension that builds up in the story makes sure the one continuous scene is never boring. Anybody who is a fan of Alfred Hitchcock were just film in general should not pass up the opportunity to see such an incredible work of art.
