Review of Rope (1948) by Richard J M — 08 Sep 2013
Noted by Hitchcock himself as a "stunt", Rope doesn't exactly follow the tense and thrilling style of his other work, but still brings some excitement in its last act. Made to look like a single take, the film looks good but drags at times, and only seems to work wonders when James Stewart is on screen.
A good idea, but one even the master himself would admit could've been done better.
