Review of Room (2015) by Alex P — 02 Aug 2016
"Room" was everything I expected it to be; that is both good and bad. Room is the story about a young woman abducted and held captive for seven years. During that time she gives birth to Jack who comes to know the "Room" as his only world.
They manage to escape and that is really where the story begins. I hesitated for months to watch this movie because I didn't believe I could get passed my contempt for the abductor to enjoy the movie, that predication was partly right.
There were emotional highs and lows but ultimately the young woman persevered, a bow to human endurance. Not for the faint of heart, this movie will grip you.
