Review of Room (2015) by Afm185 — 21 Jun 2020
What an emotionally sapping experience. I don’t want to spoil anything but it’s just so damn sad. The acting is terrific, including the kid, and that’s completely necessary to make you feel what the movie wants you to feel.
It’s not an exciting movie by any means, but the characters are so real and the dialogue feels natural when it comes to the situation. The first third was good, the middle was really great, and then the last third I was sorta bored by.
It’s not bad, but compared to the other two parts it feels dull. I really don’t know how much else I can say without giving anything away. I do have to say this is not the kind of movie I think I could ever rewatch in full.
It’s a bit too much.
