Review of Romulus, My Father (2007) by Gabrielle C — 22 Dec 2008
Very slow pace, and can basically be summed up like this: The boy's mother is a slut who develops post-partum depression after having a baby with her boyfriend and continuously cheating. She starts to get her act together, but too late for her son who no longer wants to see her.
The boyfriend offs himself, then she does soon after. Bana attempts to get another woman to move in with them but finds out she lied about being married, and he goes nutty. The boy ends up being alone most of the time, the father comes back around and they live happily ever after.
Something like that. Not very exciting.
