Review of Rollerball (2002) by Christopher C — 24 Jul 2009
A fantastic film, while it has to be said most people wont 'get it' it's still well worth a watch. The film essentially is a protest against violence as a form of entertainment, and suggests that if we're not careful we could end up repeating the violence of ancient Rome.
It depicts an eerie future where the masses are controlled by pleasure, sacrificing freedom for comfort. It's a film I could really connect with simply because I hold alot of values the film does too.
