Review of Rollerball (2002) by Erik W — 06 Jul 2012
First rate fun is the best way to decribe this movie. The rollerball sequences are some of the best action sequences ever put on film and the visuals of this movie are great. The set designs are magificent and the acting is great.
I think the greatest performances isn't by James Caan alone but by John Beck who is the confident and rough and ready Moonpie. This movie is just another example of why producer/director Norman Jewison is a great movie maker.
Great job in the music by Andre Previn and cinematographer Douglas Slocombe captures the action perfectly.
