Review of Rollerball (2002) by Chris H — 10 Apr 2018
Even for it's time, the violent nature of the storyline was WAY underdone. The film drags and leads you into a build up of anticipation for a thriller/horror spin. Unfortunately the creepy and dark ambient music does not live up to what the movie turns into. There were moments that could have been so beautifully brutal, but failed to deliver each time, give or take a few seconds.
The story is good but way too stretched, leaving it really hard for me to decide if I like this movie or not. It gets a little more than a "pass" from me, but that's about all.
I can't help but wonder what this movie would have been like with the help of the people behind the Mad Max series.
