Review of Roll Bounce (2005) by James R — 03 Nov 2007
I had no interest at all in seeing this flick, but at the insistence of a co-worker I rented it and actually enjoyed it. Taking place during the late 70s, Bow Wow stars as a rollerskating youth from the burbs who spends his summers at the local roller rink showing off his skills with his friends.
It's a nice coming of age story that is extremely funny and is chock full of nostalgic touches that really put a smile on my face. It's fun, filled with great music and some cool skating/dance moves and is harmless entertainment.
Worth the rental!
