Review of Rogue (2007) by Stephen C — 15 Oct 2009
Excellent horror thriller that shows that CGI can work wonders when put to good use.
Unlike Lake Placid the tone here is much more serious and director Greg McClean ratchets up the tension by using the old Spielberg Jaws trick in keeping the killer croc hidden until later in the movie.
The scenery is amazing and the cast take the whole thing seriously which gives the film some jump out of your seat moments.
Most enjoyable of all is the fact the filmakers have done their home work on crocs so that when the beast finally appears it looks all too real.
I really enjoyed this film and if you can catch it on DVD I can assure you,its a real little treat.
