Review of Robin Hood (2018) by Brendon H — 20 Nov 2018
Near the beginning of the movie, the audience is told to (essentially) forget all that you know about Robin Hood and history in general. In order to make it through this movie without gouging your eyes out, you will need to do exactly that.
The action sequences are jarring and unentertaining. The sets are either too clean, too dirty, or just doesn't make sense for this period (one of the Crusades). The characters are uninteresting and show very little development, and, at the top of this crappy hierarchy, lies the absolutely atrocious costumes.
Of all of the costumes shown on-screen, only 3 of them did not include a modern jacket, scarf, suit, or coat. And, of those 3, none of them were historically accurate. In fact, the entire movie isn't historically accurate.
Honestly, just go watch something else. Or stare at a wall, that would be more enjoyable.
