Review of Robin Hood (2009) by David H — 25 Nov 2010
A beautiful looking movie with lots of great action and explosions. It also has a star studded cast and extremely fun characters to accompany them. While Kevin Costner essentially plays himself in Robinhoodland, it's indeed better than him playing a copy of Erroll Flynn and having some outrageous British accent.
Alan Rickman plays the Sheriff in a way that no one else ever has or will, it is perfect. I also love the completely daring performance from Michael Wincott a.k.a The Cousin. This movie's strong suit is the ridiculously cool landscape and storytelling.
They made Robin Hood extremely realistic and an action extravaganza. It's always a fun movie to watch.
