Prince of Thieves can be an entertaining light hearted action adventure supported by robust performances from Rickman and Freeman. But the film lacks subject matter to the Robin Hood legend, and is let down by a low key mediocre direction from Reynolds and an unconvincingly wooden performance from mainstar Costner.
