Review of Road to Perdition (2002) by Marko L — 10 Dec 2010
A strong oldschool film that gets easily under your skin.
Heavy on the details and beautifully photographed, it finds itself in a mesmerising world that's as dark, cold and unforgiving as the characters inhabiting it.
Gently building it's way to the climax, along with some glimpses of emotional warmth, it proves there is still room for slow-paced movies, with accent on building up the plot, instead of the modern-day agitated styles of directing.
