Review of Road to Perdition (2002) by David A — 01 Mar 2018
I said it many times before, any movie starring Tom Hanks is always good. Unfortunately, today I have to break that hindsight. Yes, the man can act, but if the script and the direction are not equally strong as he is, then he is going to be overshadowed by the film's flaws.
"Road to Perdition" is a predictable, father and son noir that only offers a mildly impactful punch. The cinematography was great as well as the lighting, but they are wasted on underdeveloped scenes that don't deserve them.
