Sadly a prosaic endeavour. I saw it on DVD.
In parts, the animation reminded me of 'Polar Express'. The textures, starey-eyes and odd movement of some of the characters sat in the 'uncanny valley'.
The few genuinely entertaining moments did not compensate for a jumbled mythology and a few witty asides.
