Review of Rise: Blood Hunter (2007) by Andy W — 23 Aug 2007

I wasn't expecting too much from this movie but I was very satisfied About it. A reporter who knows too much gets raped, feeded off til the last drop of blood then left for dead. She is reborn as a vampire. she hates what she is and is hunting the city for those who's done this to her. She gets help from one of the little girl's dad who died at the beginning who is also a cop and wants revenge for his daughter.

That movie came out to be a little like blade just twisted around. The only thing that somewhat I didn't like (but of course guys will) there is too much nudity I could have definitely skipped that.

A lot of suspense for a horror flicks it really didn't turn out the way you would expect. Lucy Liu like usual gave a very good performance. From the rage,confusion and love for her family. I recommend this movie to anyone who somewhat likes horror flicks,vampire and likes this actress.

One thing is if it wasn't for Lucy Liu I doubt I would have rated the movie so well cause its typical....Pretty much any vampire movie has the same kind of story But she played it so well and differently then the other ones that it feels like u've never seen this kind of movie before.
