Review of Rio Bravo (1959) by Darius K — 31 Oct 2007
Probably one of my favourite westerns along side "The Wild Bunch". A light-hearted morally driven plot with main characters full of flaws. We see John Wayne as a bumbly, insecure sheriff, Dean Martin as the weak recovering alcoholic, and an ambivalent Ricky Nelson character .
The duet between Ricky and Dean is worth it alone. Kind of makes me want to be cowboy.
