Review of Righteous Kill (2008) by Raja N — 21 Jan 2010
It's not such a disaster, but it's nowhere near Mann's Heat, or Coppola's Godfather part 2, that both previously united Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. Righteous kill simply wasted the talents of those actors, because there simply wasn't good caracter arcs, neither a good screenplay to support the poor basic story.
By the way, you got to admit that when a twist is predictable, it's no longer a twist and will simply look very dumb. There wasn't enough strong material for this to be a good movie. It's maybe a lesson for us not to expect so much from trailers and good actor combinations nowadays.
