Interesting and engrossing film. I have one recommendation: even though Resolution came before its companion film The Endless, I would actually recommend that you watch The Endless first, then Resolution.
That's how I watched them, and after seeing them both I feel like I would not have enjoyed Resolution nearly as much if I didn't get to hear all the exposition to the story provided in The Endless.
In other words, Resolution is long on questions but short on answers. As a stand-alone film I doubt most people would enjoy it. However, The Endless fleshes out the concepts explored in Resolution to a much greater detail.
Any question Resolution would leave you with is answered to satisfaction by the Endless. Therefore, as a companion piece to The Endless. Resolution is quite enjoyable.
