Review of Resolution (2013) by Laura D — 15 Feb 2013
It was a little expensive to rent ondemand so I had been going back and forth on whether to spend the money or not. Finally after seeing the 100% RT critic reviews I took a chance on this movie, and it was well worth the cost.
I am a big horror movie fan, and it takes a fresh take on the genre to scare me, and by the end of the film I was thoroughly freaked out. Everything in this movie just works. The acting is great, casting could not have been better, and the direction of the film made it all come together.
The best thing about this movie wasn't even the scares for me, it was how funny it was. The script is priceless. The interaction between Chris and Michael was so authentic, and just hilarious. I talked my twin sister and BF into watching (not an easy task since they both hate horror films), and they were laughing throughout--they both enjoyed it.
.the humor really offset the creepiness of it all so if you fear this movie will scar your sensitive psyche I think you'll be fine. Definitely catch this film if you can, you will not be disappointed.
