I didn't hate Afterlife. It was bad, but I didn't hate it. Part of it was because, as a fan of the games, it didn't (for the most part) ruin any of the characters.
This movie does. It turns the the heroic Leon into a pervert, the bada** Ada into a damsel in distress and barely has a plot.
