As a previous poster said this is an excellent tale of survival and it is. Christian Bale delivers a solid performance as Dieter Dengler and Steve Zhan who is completely unrecogniziable in a thick beard gives a strong performance. In 1965, german american Dieter Dengler is given his first mission, a classified mission to bomb Laos. His plane is shot down and is captured by Vietcong guerrillas. he meets four other people who like him are stuck with no way of escaping. Dieter comes up with a plan for him and the rest to escape. Rescue Dawn is a tale of courage and a tale of survival.
