Review of Rescue Dawn (2007) by Michael A Elkana F — 06 Sep 2009
Christian Bale is an acting machine. He's always better than the material. This film had me completely until 3/4 of the way in. It's a great example of dialogue moving the story as opposed to telling the story which was not the case for The Prestige.
My problem with this film is that it turned schmaltzy near the end. If you're looking for a great war picture I would suggest The Thin Red Line.
