Review of Repulsion (1965) by Julian B — 03 Dec 2008
Catherine Deneuve brilliantly portrays a young woman's decent into isolation and madness under Polanski's expert direction. The first signs of the cracks (literally) starting to appear is unnerving.
The gradually changing set design is a master stroke, and Deneuve's beauty only serves to accentuate the horror.
