Review of Repulsion (1965) by Dave L — 17 Nov 2013
Okay. WTF, guys. The first hour or so I thought was kinda tedious. Nothing really happened. But then it picked up. Catherine Deneuve was quite polarizing in the lead role. She evolved from being relatively tentative, to really fucking crazy.
I guess that's how schizophrenia is; a slow decomposition of the mind. Polanski's technical work here was really impressive. Probably one of the best movies I've seen about madness.
