Review of Reds (1981) by Shawn M — 18 Mar 2008
A very interesting epic about the life of John Reed, with great performances from the entire cast (especially Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson in a supporting role). While I found the political parts of the film intriguing, I was actually more caught up with the relationship between Reed and Bryant.
It's actually the political sections of the film that wane a bit, as some things are left unexplained or confusing. Overall, though, a very good film that exhibits the hard work that Beatty put into it.
