Have to say on this one have to agree with critics on this one though for different reasons. Although appreciate that the director was trying to show unconditional and unfailing love and that no one is irredeemable the way the movie portrays it is all wrong, definitely not same spirit as original and true Hosea story comes from and honestly feels like a forty shades of gray but with Christian elements, faith, and without the bondage.

It goes wayy too intense and thee are some parts that are honestly just icky feeling. Is over the top and not what it could be.
