Review of Red Sparrow (2018) by Yellowatlas — 02 Mar 2018
Director Francis Lawrence, DP Jo Willems and composer James Newton Howard are at the top of their game in this; I applaud them for never holding any punches. This is an unapologetic brutal film, a rare find for a big release nowadays. I felt a very Fincher-esque vibe with this, and I think that was the intention.
If you enjoy a slow burn, old-fashioned spy thriller; this is a must-see.
