Review of Red Heat (1988) by Bugi P — 02 Mar 2010
Honestly, I usually always put creativity to appreciate a movie, let alone this happens in the same movie makers. Yeah, Walter Hill has raised this theme in the previous film, 48 Hrs. But I can not lie, Red Heat, still interesting to watch. I really enjoy the personality differences Arnie and Belushi in here, Arnie is the person who disciplined and obey the rules, while Belushi portrayed reckless and always relaxed in charge. Is also peppered with shooting scenes and tickling humor, especially from James Belushi.
Different from this film, is a story that is packed more globalized and more elements of brutal violence. Indeed many themed action movies like this, especially in the 80s, which when viewed from the frame it would be very boring to watch. But ultimately this film made me aware, that the theme of "buddy cop" like this is everlasting entertainment, and will always interesting though to watch over and over again!
