Review of Red Heat (1988) by Tristan M — 09 Oct 2014
Another classic Arnold Shwarzenegger film, but unfortunately this one doesn't stand up to the others. It's different in terms of plot, and at the time the movie was made relations between Russia and USA were not great, which may have lead to problems during production.
Something I noticed right away is that the sound effects for punching sounds different than anything or heard before, and not in a good way. The acting is on par with the films of the time, and the movie always has the smartass humor of both Arnold and James Belushi.
Therefore it can be funny at times, and there's always a joke being said. The action fits the time, ans that of Arnold's other films, but problably can't stand up to some of his other stuff.
Overall not bad, it's definatly amusing but does have its dumb moments.
