Red Dawn is a great example of fear mongering (oh noes, if we don't kill teh commies, they'll kill us all! :O), mixed with '80s action movie corniness. Fortunately, its entertaining enough to enjoy.
The biggest problem is that its just an average '80s action movie; no more, no less. If anything, Red Dawn will mainly be remembered for being the first movie to get a PG-13 rating. Overall, its not great, but its worth a watch if you're bored.
