I saw this movie when it came out when I was an early teen and we LOVED it, like alot of movies of that time.
We went nuts over Top Gun.
Watch them now, at 43, and yep! They are silly.
But they werent made for a 40 year old man with a business and a family. And certainly not for snotty art house critics.
And please go spit out your double half-caf soy latte crappaccino and quit taking yourselves so seriously with your political/social commentary on the "underlying agendas".
It was an action movie made for teens and we ate it up. If you are over the age of 21 and looking to this movie for soul and depth, you got worse issues than bad filmmaking to sweat over.
Unplug from facetweetsnapintstagram, move out of mom's basement and go learn a skill that can be used.
