Review of Red Cliff (2008) by B H — 09 Jun 2010
Red Cliff.
The film Red Cliff is a movie that was actually produced and filmed in China. It was originally four hours long, but the American version is only about two hours. I would suggest that the people that are about to watch this film, watch it in Chinese with English subtitles rather than watching it in English with no subtitles at all. Watching it in Chinese completes the whole movie.
It is really hard to remember all of the characters in this film. If people are going to this film they have to be very careful about watching what is going on in the movie, because if someone was to look away for even just a second they will increase their chances of getting confused. Which would ruin the whole film.
The weather and natural elements play a significant from throughout the entire movie of Red Cliff. The film is about the three countries inside China all going to war for power and land. They all use different war tactics, but they all include using weather and natural elements to help them gain advantages over their opponents.
Over all this is a great movie that teaches people about the Chinese culture and their heritage in an interesting way,.
Watch it.
